Whether we like it or not, money and finances are part of our lives. If you need some inspiration for affirmations, I have a few blog posts filled with ideas that you can use:ġ11 Self Love Affirmations 111 Money Affirmations Glow Up Your Finances I know it sounds crazy, but I have seen insane improvements in my life and the way I look at the world since starting doing this. Your brain doesn’t really know the difference between a lie and a truth – by repeating these statements to yourself, you’ll start to believe them in time. Even if you don’t believe them yet, keep at it. Try to pick a few that resonate with you and say them (out loud) every day. For example “I am amazing”, “The universe is out to do me good”, “My friends love me and like spending time with me”, “I am exactly where I need to be”, and “Money flows to me easily”. Affirmations are positive statements that help with positive thinking and self-empowerment. Time spent scrolling on Twitter or TikTok can be used so much better! Say Daily Affirmations ![]() Only allow content on your timeline that motivate you and make you feel happy/alive.Īnother big one for me was deleting most social media apps off my phone and turning off notifications for those I kept. Take back that control by unfollowing/blocking any account that doesn’t vibe with you anymore or spark negative emotions. Remember YOU are in control of what content you consume. Especially when your timeline and the content you consume impact you negatively and/or fill you with jealousy or feeling like you’re not good enough. While Social Media can be used as an amazing tool to meet like-minded people, teach you, and inspire you, it can also be a source of unhappiness. Alternatively, you can use journaling prompts to explore your thoughts and give yourself the opportunity to get to know your inner self. About what you did that day, what you’re thinking, what you’re feeling, ideas for the future, etc. Simply buy a notebook (or download a journaling app like Notion and Day One), set a time every day to spend a few minutes writing, and stick to it! Journaling is known to relieve stress, improve your memory, and give you time to reflect on your life. Starting a journal is another great way to quiet the mind, organize your thoughts, and get to know yourself better. It’s helped me understand my emotions and behaviour a lot better, and treat myself with a lot more compassion. So many things suddenly fall into place now I have a safe space to work through these emotions and events. While the main “issues” that initially caused me to reach out are pretty much solved, I am very happy to keep going to therapy to help me through these traumas. But talking to her uncovered a lot of past traumas that I wasn’t aware of. It took me a while to finally take the step to start talking to my therapist, and I was indeed at a very low point. ![]() You don’t need to be at your lowest to reach out for help. I truly believe that therapy can be beneficial for everybody. I’ve been meditating daily for a while and I still love using these. If you struggle with just sitting there in silence, I suggest trying out one of the many available guided meditations on YouTube. Start by simply making it a habit – tell yourself that you’ll meditate for five short minutes every day. Meditating is simple, but it’s not easy to do it every day. You probably already know this and have read it on many other sites, but meditation is one of the best ways to improve your mindset and create space in your mind for growth.
